Setting di XP Alternatif tanpa I/O Print

buat temen-temen yang udah kehabisan stok i/o print buat sharing printer server, mungkin ini bisa jadi alternatif. langsung aja kurang lebih begini caranya:

Siapkan 1 pc terinstall windows XP, kemudian ikuti langkah-langkah berikut.

1. Aktifkan Other network File and Print services pada Add/Remove Windows Components di Control Panel
2. Start Services TCP/IP Print server dan buat Startup tape menjadi Automatic
3. Control panel àNetwork connection
4. Klik kanan Local Area Connection, pilih tab AdvancedàSettingàcentang Firewall Off
5. Masuk registry editor

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LPDSVC\Parameters

6. Dari menu Edit pilih NewàDWORD value
7. Namakan menjadi SimulatePassThrough, double klik SimulatePassThrough setting menjadi 1, lalu OK

8. Tambahkan printer (Add printer) di control panelàPrinters and faxesàAdd printerànext
9. Centang Local printer attached to this computer, next
10. Create new port, type of port : LPR port, next
11. Masukan ip address komputer yang terpasang printer pada Name or address dan dan masukan nama sharing printer tersebut (harus diingat untuk di aix). Klik OK
12. Pilih driver printer yang sesuai, next
13. Pilih Keep atau Replace driver , next
14. Masukan Printer Name (harus sesuai nama print lp AIX), next
15. Sharing Printer Name (default), next
16. Masukan Location&Comment (optional), next
17. Test print (optional), next lalu Finish
18. Rubah port sebagai port local, Klik kanan printer—properties—tab Ports, centang sesuai komunikasi printer (LPT atau USB)

Tambahkan printer di AIX

1. Login sebagai root dan jalankan smit mkpq
2. Pilih “remote..”
3. Pilih Select "local filtering before sending to print server"
4. Pilih “Other..”
5. Pilih “generic”
6. ASCII [namaprinterQueue]
7. * HOSTNAME of remote server [ipKomputerXP]
8. * Name of QUEUE on remote server [namaprinterSharing]
9. Type of print spooler on remote server BSD +

CONTOH :

Type or select values in entry fields.

Press Enter AFTER making all desired changes.

Tidak dapat load file jsp di IAS

khusus error message :

[warn] OPM: ADM: process 26844 created server process 32452 (group group2, module JServ), and inserted in proctable as entry 0

ApacheJServ/1.1: bindaddress is configured incorrectly

efeknya kita gak bisa load file jsp pada browser seperti contoh :

Solusi :

1. lihat process id (PID) pada log error pada /oraias/app/oracle/product/10222/Apache/Apache/logs/error_log

2. ps -ef|grep PID :

/$ORACLE_HOME/Apache/jdk/bin/java org.apache.jserv.JServ -opmpropfile /oraias/app/oracle/product/10222/Apache/Jserv/etc/jservSoap.properties -opmhost kdssvr -opmport 3339 -opmgrp group2 -opmindex 0 -opmprocid 2241279

3. lihat konfigurasi /oraias/app/oracle/product/10222/Apache/Jserv/etc/jservSoap.properties pada proses tersebut, dan fokus pada parameter bindaddress
4. sesuaikan konfigurasi bindaddress dengan alias pada /etc/hosts

Huawei E220 dengan Antena External

It is possible to add an external antenna connector to the modem. You may use a standard cellphone to external FME-antenna adapter. Cut off the (proprietary) cellphone connector. Carefully strip the solder resist (varnish) from the groundplane on the PCB of the adapter, where you intend to solder the coax shield. Strip the coax, fan the shield braid and solder it to the ground plane. The center connector solderes easily in between the capacitor and inductor (see picture), leading to the center connector of the above mentioned internal connector. Be careful not to short the capacitor.

Tests were performed with a small yagi antenna. Signal strenght increases significantly from "poor" to "full" signal. However, the internal antenna does not seem to perform as well as before the modification. Hence, one should consider always using some sort of external antenna when the modification is applied.
